Description
Many individuals and couples give of their time so that those who are blind, visually impaired or disabled can rediscover the joy of reading. Would you consider giving an hour or two a week reading print books onto tape, checking audio books in and out, repairing and duplicating tapes, preparing audio books for mailing, entering computer data, etc.
Requirements
Tape Ministries NW serves people who have difficulty reading regular print books. We share the joy of reading with individuals who are blind, visually impaired, dyslexic, sensitive to the chemicals in ink, or who have physical disabilities which make it hard to hold a book or turn the pages.
Our patrons include men and women, senior citizens, and many who are younger. But they all have one thing in common -- they love to read and need a source for inspirational and wholesome books.
Caregivers also benefit from our services, enjoying a welcome respite while the person they care for is busy reading a good book.
